Team Florida will head on its second mission to Ghana in September. The team's goal is to provide the highest level of complex medical care in the safest way while educating local medical staff and physicians.
Team Florida is an international collaborative mission with a multi-specialty group of diverse individuals that have vast experience in their fields. The multi-disciplinary team can tackle complex general surgery, pediatric surgery, plastic surgery, head and neck surgery, and urologic surgery. Team FL also has a critical care outreach program and actively enrolls indigenous physicians and health care professionals in a certification course called Fundamentals of Critical Care Support Course through the Society of Critical Care Medicine
