Be the reason someone SMILES today! This is not just a cliche quote, but the guiding motto for Team ATL. Led by Dr. Uday Parikh, the team will head on their inaugural mission trip to Ghana in July. They aim to share their experiences, knowledge, and resources to not only improve care during the trip, but also to guide the local teams so that they can continue to build on those skills and hopefully pay it forward. The team's goal is to serve as many people as possible (more than 400) and to build on the resources created by OI's Team Dental in 2025 to create proper infrastructure rooms at Holy Family Hospital in Techiman, Ghana.
Over the years, the members of Team ATL have given back in their local community in many different ways but now are looking forward to serve outside their comfort zone and be in places where access to good care is limited.
Team lead Dr. Uday Parikh went on his first mission in October of 2025 to Techiman, Ghana along with his good friend and mentor Dr Nilesh Patel, who leads OI's Team Dental. The joy of service and the feeling of gratitude that Dr. Parikh got from those beautiful smiles that came from the hearts of the Techiman community left more of an impact on the team than what the team did there. Since then, Dr. Parikh has started to build a team of like minded professionals to join our Team ATL under the umbrella of Operation International. They are looking forward to go on their Inaugural dental mission trip back to Techiman, Ghana.
