Team Atlanta completed their first mission with Operation International in Ghana, treating more than 350 patients in just five days with much-needed dental care. The team of dentists, hygienists, assistants, and local staff provided extractions, root canal treatments, restorations, cleanings, and other necessary dental care to the community over the course of the week.
Team ATL was founded in 2026 by Dr. Uday Parikh, whom went on his first mission in October of 2025 to Techiman, Ghana along with his good friend and mentor Dr Nilesh Patel, who leads OI's Team Dental. The joy of service and the feeling of gratitude that Dr. Parikh got from those beautiful smiles that came from the hearts of the Techiman community left more of an impact on the team than what the team did there. Since then, Dr. Parikh has started to build a team of like minded professionals to join our Team ATL under the umbrella of Operation International. They are looking forward to go on their Inaugural dental mission trip back to Techiman, Ghana.
