Team ENT operated on more than 75 patients and screened several hundred more during their fifth mission to Guatemala.
As in past missions, patients included those with head and neck issues that needed both surgical and medical help. Many patients traveled great distances to reach the medical care provided by Team ENT.
2019 was an exciting year for Team ENT. The team was able to expand its otolaryngology head neck surgery capacity with the addition of new team member Dr. Daniel Grinberg.
Given this expansion, Team ENT was able to reach many communities surrounding Guatemala City. Patients often traveled up to six hours to reach the medical care provided by the Operation International team.
