Team ENT will travel to Guatemala City for the ninth time in October. The team has established themselves as a beacon of hope for those with head/ neck cancer, thyroid malignancies, and other maladies in both adult and pediatric population. They look forward to the fall 2025 mission in Guatemala City and many more.
Team ENT was founded in 2011 by Shawn Ciecko, MD, F.A.C.S (ENT, Head and Neck surgeon) and Marcia Levine, MSN, RN, NE-BC (Vice President, Perioperative & Inpatient Nursing at Memorial Sloan Kettering).
In yearly trips to Guatemala, the Philippines, and Ecuador, the team has focused primarily on malignancies of the head and neck, including thyroid cancer. They also assist in a multitude of complex surgeries involving the ear, nose, and throat.
Team ENT’s world-class group of volunteers have helped refine their missions over the years to focus on those with the greatest needs–including cancer care–thus making the greatest impact.
