  • Provided a new lease on life to0 many patients that were doomed due to progressive diseases and lack of treatment in their area

Mission details

In 2011 Team NY traveled to Kenya to perform many lifesaving surgeries. The team has grown significantly and now has the ability to perform general, pediatric, gynecological, and plastic, and reconstructive procedures.  We acquired lots of new equipment and able to set up operating rooms at record time, less than 4 hours.  The team worked under difficult circumstances and our patients seem to have very advanced disease conditions due to the lack of resources in the area we visited. However, the local doctors were eager to learn, which made the whole trip worth it, it is like teaching them how to fish rather than giving them a fish.
