Team LA will head on their inaugural mission to Kakamega, Kenya in October. The team aims to support OI missions in Kenya and help establish Kakamega as a future base OI missions and operations in Kenya.
The team is based out of Los Angeles, California and was founded by Ian Otinga, the Kenya Country Coordinator for Operation International, in the summer of 2025. It is comprised of general, plastics and head and neck Surgeons and are supported by CRNAs, nurses, and scrub technicians.
