Team Ortho had a successful 2026 mission in Kenya, completing 27 joints surgeries and administering well over 150 cortisone injections for patients in need. In addition to their surgeries, the medical service team diagnosed and/or started the treatment process for diabetes, prostate cancer, hypertension, and various cardiac disorders and the team purchased walkers and postoperative medications for surgical patients.
Team Ortho out of Melbourne, FL join the Operation International family in 2024 with their first mission to Bhutan. Dr. Kenneth Sands is the team organizer and is a fellowship trained Orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement.
