Team LA will head on their second mission to Kakamega, Kenya in August to provide free, life-changing medical care to patients in need. This year, the team will focus on women's health, including myomectomies, hysterectomies, and other life-saving procedures.
Team LA is comprised of general, plastics and head and neck surgeons and are supported by CRNAs, nurses and scrub technicians. Team LA will have its inaugural mission to Kakamega, Kenya in the Fall of 2025. The team goals aims to support OI missions in Kenya and help establish Kakamega as a future base OI missions and operations in Kenya.
