Team Chicago is headed to Tanzania in April to provide general surgery, plastics, craniofacial and ENT care to patients in need. This will mark their sixth mission with Operation International. The team's goal is provide as many life-altering and life-changing surgeries to as many patients as possible in the time they are there.
Team Chicago was launched in 2019 by Dr. Edie Chan. They went on their inaugural trip to Uganda in 2021 where they completed 87 general surgical and plastic surgery operations. The team has continued to go on annual mission trips, including to Ghana, Tanzania, and Kenya.
