Mission Goals

The most difficult aspect of this mission was overcoming the lack of trust from the local doctors and authority, due in part to the years of war against Westerners.
Shortly after our arrival, the hospital was confronted with a patient injured in a car accident, and his injuries exceeded the skills and knowledge of the local doctors. This was an opportunity for us to train the team on best practices in stabilizing the patient and operating successfully.
The team treated over 80 patients successfully and trained many of the local doctors on new surgical procedures.
