Alex Kolar

Alex is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist currently practicing in Richmond, Virginia. He worked in the MICU at University of Kentucky Hospital before attending Rush University in Chicago to complete his anesthesia training. His first experience with mission trips started in elementary school and have continued to be a throughline in his life, taking him to Haiti, Mexico, and various locations in the United States. These opportunities for service have fostered a deep curiosity about the world around him and understanding others lived experiences. This will be his first medical mission trip and he is excited to use his anesthetic knowledge and skills in service of others. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring his neighborhood with his girlfriend Katie and their Siberian husky Jeter, cooking new recipes, snowboarding, and reading.
