Chanmi Joo

Chanmi Joo is a medical student at the University of Washington School of Medicine and a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Research Fellow at Mount Sinai in New York City. With a background as an Advanced EMT and emergency department technician, she has developed a passion for reconstructive surgery, global health, and improving access to surgical care in underserved communities. She hopes to combine her interests in plastic surgery and humanitarian medicine to provide sustainable, equitable surgical care and education to patients worldwide.
