John Springer

I’m a Surgical Technologist with over two decades of experience in the operating room. Throughout my career, I’ve been deeply committed to elevating professional standards and mentoring the next generation of surgical technologists. Education and advocacy have always been central to my work—but one aspiration I’ve held close is participating in a medical mission, a chance to give back in a meaningful way. When I learned about Team SEE Kenya and their mission to train and empower the entire local perioperative team to eventually perform surgical procedures themselves, something clicked. This wasn’t just a mission—it was a movement. It offered me a profound opportunity to share my knowledge, experience, and skills in a way that uplifts others and builds lasting capacity. For a profession that has given me so much, it’s time to give back. And I’m honored to do so through a mission that aligns so deeply with my values.
