Monique Motta was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and comes from a Brazilian background. She received her MD at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. She is currently a fourth-year general surgery resident at Memorial Healthcare System in South Florida. She has a longstanding interest in global health and has participated in many community service and medical mission trips abroad since her undergraduate years. She looks forward to continuing this work throughout her surgical career and is excited to join the Operation International team.
