Operation Hearts completed their fourth mission in Guyana, performing 12 complex open heart surgeries in just one week. hese procedures are lifesaving for patients who struggled for years with severe pain, shortness of breath, dizziness and other symptoms just living their daily lives.
In 2023, the Caribbean Heart Institute joined forces with Operation International – Team Hearts to increase the potential for the group to access the resources, technical equipment, and critical skillsets needed to perform complex cardiac surgery in Guyana and around the world.
