Operation International’s UK Chapter finished their fourth mission in Ghana, completing 74 cases in one week. A number of the cases included multiple procedures, including bilateral inguinal hernias, hernia and lipoma excisions, and more. The team also provided training to local doctors through structured sessions on basic surgical skills and core skills in laparoscopy surgery during the trip.
The first Operation International UK-US collaboration was in Ghana 2019, where the team performed 143 operations in a week. Volunteers are committed to making lifesaving surgery available to our most underserved communities.
